Who a session is for

Some event cards carry a short note like:

ⓘ This session is for Academy/Full-Time and PG. Suzy’s group isn’t listed — check with a coach first.

Here’s what that is, and what to do about it.

What it means

Clubs label athletes with a category — things like Academy/Full-Time, Part-Time, or PG. When a coach sets up a session aimed at particular categories, families outside them see this note.

It is information, not a locked door.

What you can still do

Everything:

  • The event is on your page, in full.
  • The Yes / No buttons work normally.
  • Your RSVP is recorded like any other.

If you tap Yes, you’ll get one confirmation asking you to check with a coach before attending, and the note turns amber and stays there as a reminder.

What to do

Ask a coach. That’s genuinely the whole answer.

There are always exceptions — a kid moving up, a make-up session, a special arrangement already agreed in person. The app shouldn’t argue with a coach who has already said yes, so it doesn’t. It just makes sure everyone knows the session wasn’t originally aimed at your athlete.

What actually decides whether you see an event

Group membership, not categories. If your athlete is in U16, you see U16 events. You will never see an event for a group your athlete isn’t in.

Categories only ever add a note.

I don’t see any of these notes

Then every session you can see is aimed at your athlete, or your club doesn’t use categories at all. Nothing to do.
